St. Patrick’s Day in Los Cabos

Literally every bar in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, on Saturday, March 17th, beginning in the early afternoon hours and long into the green beer drinking hours of the night. Per Wikipedia, St. Patrick’s Day started as a religious celebration in the 17th century to commemorate the life of Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. This “Feast Day” has always taken place on the anniversary of St. Patrick’s death, which was believed to be March 17, 461 AD. Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated in more countries than any other national festival. It is customary on St. Patrick’s Day to wear shamrocks, green-colored clothing and/or any green-colored accessory. The color green has been associated with Ireland since the 1640’s.
In Los Cabos, Irish drinks and green beer will be available at Cabo Blue in CSL; which has traditionally hosted some great St. Patty’s Day parties. Other San Lucas bars serving up green-colored alcoholic beer and cocktail fun are Baja Brewing Company (Located on the 6th floor of Cabo Villa and at the Puerto Paraiso Mall), Cabo Cantina, Tanga Tanga, Cabo Wabo, Solomon’s Landing, El Squid Roe, Hooliganz Corner Bar, Squid Roe, Rips, Baja Cantina, Fish Bar, Sanchos, Agua Salada, Jungle Bar, and Pink Kitty.
In San Jose del Cabo, look for a great green-colored time at Rock N Brews, Wing’s Army, Baja Brewing Company, and every local bar in the historic central plaza area, including the prestigious and classy Tropicana Restaurant and Bar. Visitor’s to Los Cabos can also expect their respective resorts and hotels to offer a St. Patrick’s Day of their own. The Road House/Lattitude 22 Restaurant and Pub, which is located a few hundred feet from Costco, will once again offer their traditional Irish corned beef and cabbage afternoon luncheon that has become a local and tourist favorite. And of course, Medano Beach gets party crazy with fun-filled green-themed festivities at the world famous Mango Deck, Billygan’s and The Office. The corned beef and cabbage dinner special is also available at both San Lucas and SJDC Baja Brewing Company locations.
