First Direct Flight From Europe to Los Cabos

The Dreamliner 7800 aircraft of TUI, arrived in San Jose del Cabo on Thursday, November 9, 2019 carrying 344 passengers from Europe; who were welcome to Baja California Sur, Mexico with a 7-piece live Mariachi band, celebrating the first direct flight from Europe to SJDC.

TUI Airways Limited, formerly Thomson Airways is simply referred to as TUI, which is the world’s largest charter airline, offering scheduled and charter flights from the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland to destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and now Los Cabos. The airline carried 11.2 million passengers in 2017, making it the third-largest UK airlines, after EasyJet and British Airways. TUI Airways is also the worlds 10th largest airline by number of routes and destinations served.

In this flight, from England to Cabo, in addition to British tourists, there were executives on board of the tour operator of this TUI flight, United Kingdom authorities in Mexico, ambassadors and also the Secretary of Tourism, Luis Humberto Araiza and the director of Fiturca, Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares. European tourists were handed Los Cabos t-shirts and other souvenirs at the terminal, as well as drinks and snacks, and were received with great joy by airport, state and municipality authorities of Los Cabos

This memorable flight signals the beginning of these direct flights from England to Los Cabos, with passengers no longer having to disembark and arrive on connecting flights at Mexico City’s International Airport.
