Life Luxe Jazz

During the weekend from November 7 through November 11, 2019, Life Luxe Jazz, presented Los Cabos to days and evenings listening to some of the most talented jazz artists of the Western Hemisphere. The first annual event produced by the Atlanta, Georgia based entity, The Life Luxe Group, LLC, accomplished their vision and dream of ”A premiere luxury cultural experience with jazz as the focal point, bringing people together with common interests in music, culture and exceptional cuisine; with the goal of building bridges across borders.”
Local Municipal authorities enthusiastically welcomed the International Jazz Festival “Life Lux Jazz” which offered three days of music, painting, dancing and jazz, inviting tourists and citizens to join and enjoy with their families. ”This event marks the start of the high season, that brings abundance for all citizens and for our visitors to leave happy” said Los Cabos Mayor, Armida Castro. ”Enjoy the warmth of authentic Mexican hospitality as the city welcomes everyone with arms wide open,” she added.
The downtown welcome reception began promptly at 6:00 PM and included the San Jose Art Walk, Folklorico dancing in the street, DooWap Jazz,
and saxophonist jazz musician, Rick Parma. Born and raised in Chicago, but living in Southern California, Rick Parma starting first playing the Sax when he was 14 years of age, and joined a tremendous marquee of musicians that included; Incognito, Donnie McClurkin, Sheléa, Raul Midon, and Ernest Quarles.
Also performing during this jazz extravaganza was the world famous talents of such recording artists as Pieces of a Dream, Average White Band and their list of gold record songs “Pick Up The Pieces”, “A Love of Your Own”, and “Cut The Cake”, as well as Gerald Albright, Roy Ayers, Ronnie Laws,
Kirk Whalum, and the “Funkin’ For Jamiaca’s” very own Tom Browne. Los Cabos of course was represented by Daline Jones and Diego Cabeza.
