More than 863 thousand dollars in cash was given to the team that was crowned on the first day with its catch and score in the official weighing machine
The international sportfishing tournament Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore finished this past weekend. This important event for the sport fishing scene and the Los Cabos economy concluded with the victory of the team “Pelagic”
Capturing a 319 pounds Black Marlin, the angler Ron Kawaja and his team Pelagic claimed the top prize of 863,480 dollars (close to 17 million Mexican pesos)
The team “Chinito Bonito” won second place earning close to 300 thousand dollars. The first place in the category of catch and release took home 89,506 dollars in cash.
The 2021 edition of the Los Cabos Offshore tournament took place with the participation of 187 sportfishing teams, bringing to Los Cabos an important economic boost as a touristic destiny, besides helping to push forward the hotel industry kickstarting the high season.
The next event is the international tournament “Bisbee’s Black and Blue 2021”, where the accumulated prize pool goes above the four million dollars, besides having an extra category that was left pending from the 2020 edition with an extra million dollars as prize pool. Los Cabos is cementing itself as the capital of big-prized international sportfishing events.
