The executive president of the Los Cabos’ Hotels Association, Lilzi Orcí, shared information regarding how important Bisbees tournaments are for Los Cabos economy.

It was remarked that a tourist who travels to watch sport fishing tournaments, is likely to stay in Los Cabos twice as much as a regular tourist that just comes for vacations, and in a similar way, they tend to spend more money, averaging five times the expenditures of a regular tourist. this is according to data shared by the Hotel industry.

She pointed out the current occupation in Los Cabos being around 63%, being this at the start of the sportfishing tournaments, and after the recent improvements in Los Cabos regarding Covid-19, is expected to reach an occupation of 65% at the official start of the high season.

Is important to note that Bisbee’s sportfishing tournaments generate an estimated income of 12 million dollars during the week these tournaments take place. In addition, people that come to Los Cabos for sportfishing tournaments make for 9% of the total amount of tourist that visits this destiny.
