Cabo San Lucas, Corridor, San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Shortly before midnight, August 30, 2017, Tropical Storm Lidia came ashore directly over San Jose del Cabo in the Los Cabos region of Baja California Sur, Mexico. During the ensuing 24 hours, Lidia devastated the area, dumping nearly 45 inches of rain accompanied by wind in excess of 65 miles per hour. The destruction was massive. If you have ever visited Los Cabos, you know that its people work very hard to assure you have a memorable stay.

You now have an opportunity to repay that love
The people of Los Cabos are in dire need of immediate assistance. Many areas in the poorest communities have been destroyed, leaving thousands homeless and without even the most basic necessities such a food and water. Many locals are working to help, but we need your help by way of cash donations.

We will increase the effectiveness of your donations, and be certain they are funneled where most needed by uniting the efforts of two organizations that have for many years worked to help the people from those areas hit the hardest. These organizations are Fundacion Tres Deseos and the Knights of Cortez.

The money collected will be used to purchase and distribute much-needed basics like:  Clothes, Dry food, Diapers, Pet Food, Toiletries, and other basic necessities.

Your donations through this GoFundMe site, along with many local donations, will go a long way toward restoring these devastated areas and giving hope to those who have lost everything. There have been lives lost, homes and businesses destroyed. The community has, as it always has, worked together and begun rescue, cleanup, and repair efforts.

Los Cabos residents are a family of caring, loving, and hardworking people. Without being asked, hundreds left their own problems behind and came to clean up the tourist areas so that our visitors would enjoy the rest of their stays. Government resources are stretched to the limit, with infrastructure repairs restoring electric power, water, and phone service and clearing the massive amounts of mud and debris blocking the roads.

WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE TO HELP THOSE WHO HAVE LOST EVERYTHING EXCEPT THEIR WILL TO LIVE AND BE HAPPY. PLEASE GIVE A HAND TO THE WONFDERFUL PEOPLE OF LOS CABOS AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.

THANK YOU FOR DONATING NOW!
