The Los Cabos Film Festival closed calls for industry submissions on September 1st, 2017. With a total of 462 projects, from 39 countries, registered in the three categories of Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund: Cinema and TV, In development, and Work in Progress. Thus the Festival reaffirms its commitment to support the completion and completion of film and television projects.

We thank all the participants who registered their work and the industry allies who help grow the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund year after year.
The number of projects received for each category in this call are as follows:
Cinema in development: 288 projects
TV in development: 99 projects
Work in progress: 75 projects
Of the total number of projects registered, 19 participants will be selected (10 projects under development, 4 TV projects under development and 5 works in progress) that will compete for more than $ 4,000,000.00 MX and attend Los Cabos Industry Meetings. The representatives of each project will travel to Los Cabos and will have a series of private meetings with prominent members of the international film industry, representatives from sales agencies, distributors, production companies, international festivals, TV stations, streaming on demand platforms, financing funds, etc.
On October 3, 2017 the 19 selected participants will be disclosed. The awards and announcement of the winners of the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund will be held during the Sixth edition of the Los Cabos Film Festival to be held from November 8 to 12, 2017 in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
