HEADLINES: March 14, 2016:
JC has a few things to be happy about with the Marlin primaries coming up tomorrow in Ohio and Michigan and JC says he wil beat Trump and that Panzie Rubio in Florida. JC also went on to say John Kasich is the biggest wimp he has ever met and vowed to put Kasich in the Chines Telephone Fast Food Toe Hold until he says “Uncle Festus”.

Fish Report Says: JC was seen cruising around town in a 64 Rambler looking for a Christmas Tree. I asked him why:“Everyday is Christmas to me he shouted!! I said: Don’t you think it’s a little early? He said: Not Really:“I Just Feel Like it, that’s all, and I really don’t think its any of your business”He Barked:“Im happy, Marlin fishing is so so , its Christmas to me ok!!”He then said: My Ebook called “As the Admirl Seas It, Recipes from My Heart” will be out shortly and everything seems like the holidays to me!! Ok Jc whatever blows your skirt up!! I excused myself and left his office to get this report out on time, otherwise I will get the JC wrath? I hope you lose the Marlin primaries JC!!

Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: Well it’s been pretty good all week but we had some overcast the last days which made it a little humid.It has been much warmer than normal and its like that now as it seems we are going to get an early summer this year. Highs in the day time are between 85 and 90 degrees about every day and lows will drop down to the mid to low 60,s. You know Cabo the weather is always good with lots of sunshine. That’s why all the tourists come here!! Fishing, Golf, Divng an weather.

WATER: Right outside the harbor water temperature is like 71 to 74 and if you head southeast it will get warmer and warmer, even pushing 79 degrees down past Gordo Banks and in the east cape area. If you leave Cabo harbor and head north to the Pacific side that’s another story with temperatures dropping down as low as 69 degrees up past the finger bank and closer to shore there are patches of really cold water. It’s been a strange year for water temperatures and what species of fish are supposed to be here and what isn’t supposed to be hre this time of year. Its seems when we thought the Dorado should be gone, they were still here going crazy and also when we think the Yellowtail should be here they are not. They should be here now are there aren’t hardly any in sight or being caught.

BILLFISH: Marlin fishing has gotton better this past week with some good action more down toward the 1150 and 95 spots of the Los Cabos fishing grounds. On the Sea of Cortez side, we have been casting live bait to tailers and landing a few on lures, also slow trolling ballyhoo has been effective. Water up on the Pacific side has been pretty cold, so I think all the Marlin moved toward the warmer water in the Sea of Cortez. Less swell and wind down there also, making it a smoother ride for all. Anyway, it’s better than it was, so that’s a good thing for you anglers out there who are into Marlin fishing.

DORADO: Some Dorado up and around the Light House to the Margarita area with a few nice ones being caught but it has been mostly pretty slow for Dorado.

WAHOO: A fe nice Wahoo have been caught off of the hotel Westin Regina over the last week with some tipping the scales at 15 to 28 lbs. We were using rapalas and jetheads and the boat caught 3 one day and the next day a couple but then it slowed down.

TUNA: I haven’t heard of anything as far as Tuna goes as they seem to be long gone right no but they will show up sooner or later.

INSHORE: Some decent Rooster fish action with sme landed in the 25 to 35 lbs range.There has also been some Amber Jacks taken jigging iron off the Pedregak Rocks all the way up to the margarita rock pile. Other highlights of the inshore fish good Sierra action from Solmar to the Pump House and most are being landed on hootchies and striped bait. Try for the Sierra about a hundred yards off the beach as this is where they have been catching them. Also in the same areas we have been catching a few Jack Crevail and lots of Needle Fish.
