Salvatore G’s Italian Restaurant  – Even though you’re in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, sometimes you would like to eat something that is not spiced up with chili’s and cilantro, then Italian would be a good option for you to try. For many years, there has been a very popular Italian restaurant for you to try and their name is Salvatore G’s. I will for warn you, if you talk to anyone about Salvatore G’s, the first thing out of their mouths will be. “You have to try the lasagna”. I’ll get to that in a moment, but first you need to star with some kind of appetizer or salad and I’ll give you a couple of suggestions.

Lets start with my favorite, jumbo Portobello mushrooms stuffed with scallops, sea bass and shrimp with tarragon-infused crostini for only $15usd. Steamer clams with herb butter lemon wine sauce for $20 usd. Calamari fried and served two different dipping sauces, chipotle-raspberry or ranch $12 usd. Now for something to cleanse your pallet, Salvatore’s has your classic Caesar salad for $12, but my favorite salad is the spinach and pear medley. Spinach with thinly sliced red onion tossed in their raspberry vinaigrette and topped with crumbled gorgonzola cheese, sliced pear, chopped walnuts and fresh raspberries $12usd.

Lets move on to your main course and I’ll talk about their most popular item on the menu, lasagna! Their lasagna is made with their own Italian sausage, five cheeses, baby spinach, fresh pasta and Galluzzo’s marinara sauce $19 usd. The potion they serve you is huge, so you will probably be eating lasagna the next day for either lunch or dinner. Next choice, Italian Pork-Etta, a pork shank grilled and slow cooked in a wine and herb sauce and topped with chipotle-cilantro and asparagus and fettuccini alfredo $20 usd. Osso Bucco, slow cooked beef shank topped with a white wine sauce and served over spaghetti with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and grilled asparagus on top $20 usd. Lamb ravioli, three jumbo raviolis stuffed with herb roasted lamb, mushrooms and mascarpone cheese with a marinara sauce $18 usd. If your a traditional Italian food diner, try the Tony Soprano’s Special. Three large homemade meatballs in a marina sauce over spaghetti $15 usd.

Whatever you decide to dine on, you will enjoy it. The staff is warm and attentive and seeing this is now high season, (1) you will want to make a reservation and their phone number in Cabo is 624-105-1044 and they generally offer two seatings per night, at 6pm and at 8pm. Ciao!If you’re into seafood, try the grilled sea bass served with roma tomatoes sun dried tomatoes, capers, spinach and artichoke hearts in a butter lemon sherry sauce over spaghetti $18usd. Again this is a large portion which Salvatore’s is known for. I usually eat the fish and take the pasta home and have it the next day. Finally, lets kick this up a notch. Seafood Puttanesea, fresh seafood of the day, mussels, shrimp and scallops with olives and capers in a spicy red Puttanesea sauce served over fettuccini $20usd. If you are still hungry for dessert after everything that you have had, try the Tiramisu, it’s only $10 usd and can be shared by a few people at your table.
