With a capacity of 30%, 11 beaches in Los Cabos remain open

Los Cabos, BCS, Jun 24.- In order to safeguard the integrity of the public and derived from the fact that Los Cabos is at level 5 -orange- of the Baja California Sur Health Alert System, the capacity is reduced to 30 % and security and surveillance filters will be maintained to prevent possible cases of COVID-19 on the 11 beaches that are open to the public in Los Cabos, as reported by the municipal coordinator of ZOFEMAT Los Cabos, Javier Ontiveros Fabián, at the same time as He asserted that there should be a distance of 4 meters between the groups and / or families that visit the coasts.

On the other hand, the operational coordinator of ZOFEMAT in Cabo San Lucas, Manuel Cortés Ávila, explained that after the meeting held by members of the State Health Safety Committee, the capacity allowed on open beaches is 30%, which it means that, at El Médano beach, which has a capacity of approximately 2,250 people, it will be reducing to 675 people, -for example-.

The delegation operational coordinator also explained that hygiene filters continue to be installed, following the protocols that were indicated since the beginning of the pandemic; verify that the users wear the mask correctly, take the temperature and provide antibacterial gel, as well as not exceed the 30% capacity.

To conclude, Cortés Ávila explained that the hours of the beaches remain the same: from 10:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the afternoon for citizens in general and from 6:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the afternoon for athletes, in the 11 beaches that remain open in Los Cabos: El Médano, Las Viudas, Santa María, Chileno, El Tule, Palmilla, Acapulquito, Costa Azul, La Playa, La Ribera and La Gaviota.
