Authorities conducted by the colonies most harmed with the passage of “Lidia”

Authorities from the three levels of government are working to restore the roads and areas most affected by the passage of Tropical Storm Lidia, in order to rehabilitate basic services as soon as possible; collaborating with governments and society to put the municipality of Los Cabos back on its feet, which, thanks to the protocols of Civil Protection prior to the phenomenon, did not leave more affectations.
With the presence of the secretary of governor Miguel Angel Osorio Chong; the governor of the state Carlos Mendoza Davis; the holder of the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development,
Rosario Robles Berlanga and the national director of Conagua Roberto Ramírez de La Parra; the municipal president of Los Cabos Arturo De la Rosa Escalante made a tour of the Santa Rosa, Vado Santa Rosa and Vado Zacatal colonies; who listened to their neighbors’ voices in order to assess the conditions in which families and communication channels are located.
In that sense, Secretary of State Miguel Angel Osorio Chong announced to the authorities and families of Los Cabos, about the visit of the president of the republic Enrique Peña Nieto to the municipality of Los Cabos this Saturday afternoon, to evaluate the affectation of the municipality and implement strategies to support their recovery.
In his message, Mayor Arturo de la Rosa Escalante thanked the support of the federal and state governments in the Civil Protection protocols, before, during and after the tropical storm, which, as it was predicted from the beginning, brought large volumes of Water; acting in the evacuation of the families that lived in zones of risk and high risk.
“Thanks to the coordinated work with the Municipal, State and Federal Civil Protection, the Armed Forces and rescue bodies, we were able to evacuate opportunely thousands of families, who received attention from qualified shelters, if we were talking about a greater tragedy,” said Arturo De the Rose.
He acknowledged the presence of representatives of the federal government headed by Enrique Peña Nieto, for the solidarity and interest in restoring the municipality of Los Cabos, so that together the three levels of government and the hand of society, work in the reconstruction and put standing to the tourist destination.
For his part, the governor of the state Carlos Mendoza Davis, assured the timely work carried out by the three levels of government before, during and after the meteor, so he applauded the support of the federal government to initiate the work of reconstruction of Baja California Sur.
Of the situation that the municipality keeps, the federal authorities announced that a census of the affected dwellings will be made, for the reconstruction process; the early reactivation of the desalination plant for the supply of drinking water to families and drainage, which will take longer to operate.
Regarding the process of recovery of electric energy in the colonies, there was an affectation of 63%, that is to say 120 thousand clients affected, of which 70 thousand already have electric power, reason why they made available the number 071 for the people that require to be aided in the service.
