Bajo La Luna Restaurant Tapas Bar
Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México.
Bajo la Luna Restaurant , meaning under the moon restaurant, is the newest kid on the block and out to make a name for itself. With the owner’s numerous years’ experience in one of the most popular culinary kitchens of Los Cabos, it is sure to be a hit. But, you must try for yourself. It has a lot to offer, from specialty drinks to assuage the thirst such as a Baja Rickey with cucumber infused gin, or a lemon drop martini, to delicious tapas from the bar menu where you can munch on the signature salad or sip a bowl of lighter clam chowder or chomp on an 8” pizza. These small plates are big on flavor and creativity and offered from 3 – 11 p.m.
The open terrace is the perfect people-watching perch, especially since it is directly across the street from the famous Cabo Wabo. Other lunch and midday-specials include burgers – maybe even a salmon burger – baby back ribs and a soup-of-the day that might just be lobster bisque. Each day features a $10 USD lunch that includes tea or lemonade, lunch entrée and a dessert. Come dinner time and hunger pangs are awakening, Bajo la Luna, like a chameleon, turns into a sophisticated, yet casual, romantic place that justifies the entrée list of grilled lamb chops, seared sea scallops, Pacific spiny lobster, a variety of steaks cooked to your liking and a Bajo La Luna Special for two that includes lobster, garlic shrimp, blackened fish and breaded calamari.
For a really romantic evening, reserve the wine room with its “wine wall” and celestial lighting. After dinner, enjoy a Chocolate Decadence flourless cake and whipped cream or perhaps a Mexican coffee. Reasonable prices include sales tax.
