“Viva La Plaza”, is a rejuvenation of Amelia Wilkes Plaza on Friday nights.  The public square known as Amelia Wilkes Plaza in downtown Cabo San Lucas with its picturesque gazebo and gardens, is under revitalization and is the site for weekly art and cultural events under the designation of “Viva la Plaza!”

The 12th City Council of Los Cabos and Corporación Cabo Inclusive , in the hands of civil associations and organized groups officially presented at a press conference, the “Viva la Plaza” program which aims to motivate international tourists and local families to enjoy downtown Cabo San Lucas by offering cultural and gastronomic shows, rich in Mexican customs with international standards.

The event takes place every Friday evening, 5 p.m.–9 p.m., and includes vintage crafts, gastronomy, and pieces by Mexican artisans. The park encompasses a city block and is bounded by Lazaro Cardenas, Miguel Hidalgo, Francisco Madero, and Avenue Cabo San Lucas.  The Viva La Plaza event can become the new Cabo San Lucas “Art Walk.”
