The Bisbee’s Black and Blue Fishing Tournament continues to maintain its World’s Richest Fishing Tournament status with its 2019 sponsors addition of Coco Bongo Cabo. In Cabo San Lucas, the month of October is recognized as Bisbee Fishing Tournament Time, with their Offshore Tournament kicking the two week event off with its start from October 17 – 20, known as “Little Bisbee’s”; which every year attracts more than 100 participants from different countries like the United States, Europe, Japan and of course Mexico.
The Black & Blue Tournament, with a guaranteed purse of 4 million dollars, is scheduled to dominate the city and its Marina from October 22-26. Tatiana Kuzub and Sebastián Robles, both Public Relations Managers of Coco Bongo expressed their excitement of being a part of this great international event and continue following up on their commitment to be a vital part of the community since opening their doors on July 4, 2019.
Clicerio Mercado, who has been organizing the fishing tournament for 31 years, announced at the tournaments annual press conference that the legacy left by Bob Bisbee, is a torch that is being carried forward by Wayne Bisbee and his brothers. Bisbee’s Black and Blue Fishing Tournament also marks the beginning of high season in this fabulous and popular tourist destination.
The Puerto Paraiso Mall Marina will once again host the overflow daily crowds which the tournament has attracted for the past 39 years. The event is one of the biggest attractions that Cabo San Lucas is known worldwide for. “Part of the appeal of the Black & Blue is the chance to win a really big check,” said Wayne Bisbee. Since its inception of 1980, the Bisbee Black & Blue Tournament, has awarded more than $54 million in cash prizes. ”Our teams are the best of the best in the sport.
