Saltwater Fly-Fishing reports since 1996

The 8th Annual Casting 4 Soles event took place in the Concha in Los Barriles this past Saturday. It was another excellent event! The Casting 4 Soles group handed out 2,000 pairs of brand new shoes and AFTCO clothing products in three hours.

This was only made possible due to the more than 60 volunteers who came out to help. This included members of the shoe community from the United States, local residence from town and hotel staff from Van Wormer Resorts. Van Wormer Resorts would like to thank each and everyone who helped make this event so successful.

A special thanks goes out to Jack Mcculloch from Mcculloch’s Wide Shoes for organizing this event each and every year. The event wouldn’t be possible without him. Also to all of the shoe companies that generously donated more than 3,000 pairs of shoes for the event, as well as AFTCO for their generous donation of more than 3,000 clothing products. And last but not least, ACV Logistics and Armando Carrillo for all their help in getting the items down to Los Barriles for the event.

The next Casting 4 Soles event will be on October 3, 2015 at the Concha in Los Barriles…..Van Wormer Resorts
