Sam Querrey Los Cabos ATP Champion | Tennis Open Winner 2017.

As we look back over the last 8 days. We have seen some very close matches make every player work for every point. We had some big upsets early on with Ivo Karlovic getting knocked out early by an Quentin Halys and yesterday the top seed Tomas Berdyh getting taken out by Thanasi Kokkinakis in the 3rd set leaving him to face second seed Sam Querrey in exciting  men’s singles final. The venue here in Cabo San Lucas is fantastic with great facilities giving both players and fans 8 days of excellent tenis.

The men’s doubles Juan Sebastian Cabel and Treat Huey toke control of the final early and dominated both sets with a 6-2, 6-3 leaving Sergio Galdos and Roberto Martin fighting to the end with no luck. Leaving Juan and Treat the Los cabo ATP men’s double champions after less than an hour.

The main event the men’s singles started with one tough 1st set leaving Sam Querrey up one set 6-3 but Thanasi kokkinakis started to fight and point broke Sams serve early in the second set and clenched the second set 6-3. Which left for a nerve reckoning last set for the fans. The last set Sam step up showing his experience and broke Thanasi’s serve. Thanasi kept trying to break Sams serve but every break point Sam came back to win the game and eventually take the set and the championship. What a final Sam Querrey Los Cabos ATP Champion!
