Created and led by Los Cabos visionaries Edith Jiménez, Carmen Carbajal, Jacobo Turquie, Alfonso Vázquez, Ulises Méndez, Denis Gabriel, Luis Alvarado, Jorge Viaña, Billy Lagarde and Gianmarco Vela. The annual gastronomic festival’s main attraction has become the yearly musical guest which has included such great music industry bands and musicians like Earth, Wind & Fire, Maná, Lila Dows, La Ley, and this year’s performer Miguel Bose, Born in Panama City, Panama, the son of Italian actress Lucia Bosè (real name Lucia Borloni) and bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín, Miguel Bose signed a contract with CBS Records in 1977. Between 1977 and 1982, Bosè was a major teen idol in Italy, Spain, Southern Europe and in all Latin America.
He had 7 top ten hits in the disco/new wave era, and it was in 1985 that he became an international superstar, when his song “Amante Bandido” rose to the top of the Latin America and Spain music charts. The Sabor a Cabo festival features some of the best Mexican brands of Wine, Tequila and Mezcal, aside from the delectable morsels and tasty treats available at the many tables that adorn the spectacular ocean view landscape at the Quivira development.
The Sabor a Cabo event also raises money for local charitable institutions that help improve the growing community and needy population of the impoverished neighborhoods within Los Cabos.
