The company was incorporated in 1969 with the name of Terrenos Recreo, SA de CV. In 2004, it changed its name to Singlar, SA de CV, and modified its corporate purpose to become a nautical services merchant And administrator, being in charge of the operation of the nautical scales of FONATUR.

On April 30, 2008, Singlar, SA de CV changed its corporate name, to FONATUR Operadora Portuaria, SA de CV, to incorporate in its activities the operation of the integral port administrations that have been granted by the Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT).

MISSION:  Identify, implement and detonate sustainable investment projects in the tourism sector, aimed at regional development, employment generation, foreign exchange, economic development and social welfare, to improve the quality of life of the population.

VIEW:  To become a key strategic instrument for the development of sustainable tourism investment in Mexico, contributing to the improvement and social equality, the consolidation and modernization of tourist destinations and the competitiveness of the tourism sector, to the benefit of the population.
