Clicerio Mercado Hernández, coordinator of the “Bisbee’s” tournaments in Mexico and one of the main promoters of the fishing tournaments in the entity, confirmed that they are in constant communication with federal, state and municipal health authorities to determine the feasibility of holding the events.

The first tournament of the “Bisbee´s 2020” season is scheduled in Buena Vista, this from August 4 to 8, 2020.

For the “smallest” of the tournaments, the participation of some 50 boats is expected, which will generate a significant economic spill in the area from hotels, restaurants, local shops and nautical service providers.

But, Mercado Hernández reiterated, everything will be subject to the authorization of the Health Sector due to the coronavirus issue, but reservations for the tournament already exist.

The second event of the 2020 series will be the 22nd edition of “Los Cabos Offshore”, which has already ceased to be the small “Bisbee’s” and for a couple of years entered the list of tournaments that exceed one million dollars in prizes.

In the 2019 edition, 120 participating teams were registered and a bag of prizes of $ 1,274,150 was distributed.

“Los Cabos Offshore” in its 22nd edition has been scheduled from October 15 to 18 in the port of Cabo San Lucas, and again the participation of more than 100 teams from the United States, Canada and various states of the Republic is expected. Mexican.

The 2020 series of tournaments will close with a flourish, as it will be celebrating the 40th edition of “Bisbee’s Black & Blue”, which was scheduled from October 20 to 24, 2020.

The 40th edition of “Black & Blue” promises to be historic in participation and the stock market to be distributed.

In 2019 there were 125 teams, which means that there will be a prize pool of more than 3 million dollars.

Just for these two tournaments, highlights Mercado Hernández, which will also mark the start of the high season in Los Cabos, more than 2,000 people will be mobilized among competitors and family members, activating the local economy significantly and in all sectors, generating an economic spill over 12 million dollars.
