It all started in 1994, during the first day of the Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament. “Team Picante” on their 40 ft sport fisher named “Picante”, boated a record 993 lb Pacific Blue Marline winning a cash prize of $300,000.00 USD and a brand new 35 ft CABO yacht.

The new CABO Yacht was offered to any team that weighed a fish more than 750 pounds. That year Picante became associated with Cabo Yachts and formed “Picante Sportfishing and Yacht Sales” based in Cabo San Lucas. To this day Picante holds the record for the largest Marlin caught is the Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament, and a Sportfishing legend was born.
