Pan Di Bacco
Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México
At Pan Di Bacco Restaurant we believe that eating right should always mean dining well. Using carefully sourced ingredients that are local, farm fresh, and sustainable (with an emphasis on organic vegetables and hormone free meats); our commitment to being earth friendly extends to bakery and deli offerings which utilize recyclable and compostable takeout packaging. Enhanced by both old-world and modern culinary techniques, we are also vegan and vegetarian friendly with a wide selection of gluten free options. And we feature a value oriented wine list by the glassbottle so everyone can enjoy!
The December 2012 arrival of this chic Italian café near the Cabo San Lucas Marina has proved a big win for the Los Cabos restaurant scene. Pan di Bacco’s concept fuses “the art of Italian baking”—local, fresh, organic—with a casual, sophisticated, and extremely accessible setting. Pop in during the morning to leisurely sip a vanilla latte or cappuccino as you peruse your e-mail (free Wi-Fi, natch) and devour a mushroom and bacon quiche or chocolate pannetone from the bakery. (Stock up on a fresh loaf of bread for home while there.)
Return midday for a strawberry lemonade, Italian fries with truffle oil, and Neapolitan-inspired pizza; I heartily recommend the Milanesa, with salame milano, mushrooms, mozzarella, Parmesan, and tomato sauce. The team behind Pan di Bacco believes “wine isn’t just for gourmets and special occasions; it’s for everyone, every day.”
As such, they’ve created a wine list that’s affordable and fun … and pairs excellently with a dinner menu that includes everything from light salads and antipasti to gnocchi alla sorrentina, DIY cutting boards, and mini-burgers. Don’t leave without ordering a dessert (perhaps the traditional Neapolitan lemon tarte or classic tiramisu) with a limoncello digestif. Free valet parking 4 p.m.–midnight at the Misiones, across the street.
