Top Seven Italian Cuisine

Italian… Italian… – If there’s a food style sought for most of the people in tourist areas, Italian cuisine will be at the top of the list. Los Cabos has many restaurants to select this kind of gastronomy, and the amplitude of dishes in each restaurant is more than awesome. Here at Los Cabos Guide, we gave ourselves to the task of finding the best options and here we have what we personally recommend; hard task if you think that we had to be present in each restaurant we are recommending and try several of the dishes the chefs graciously prepared for us.

Romeo & Julieta

This is one of the Italian restaurants with more tradition in the area. Cabo Pioneer, Luis Bulnes created Romeo & Julieta more than a quarter-century ago. The helm of this amazing restaurant is at the expert hands of the International Chef Matias Forte and his creativity has no limits. I must confess, I’m a constant diner of this family ambience restaurant; particularly my children enjoy the experience each and every time we dine there. The service is very first class, the menu is state of the art and the flavors are absolutely out of this world, try anything you want from the menu, you will be delightfully surprised. Located in Marina Boulevard in front of Pabellon Cultural in Cabo San Lucas.

La Dolce

Two locations for this exciting culinary adventure, one in Cabo San Lucas, Hidalgo Street corner with Zapata (the restaurant row) and the other in Plaza Mijares, Miguel Hidalgo street in San Jose del Cabo. The dishes in the menu are many and all of them are excellent choices, I personally recommend the lasagna, is the best I have tried in every Italian restaurant in Los Cabos. Of course all the pastas and antipasti are amazing is taste and the service is very attentive. Either one of the restaurants, the one in Cabo or the one in San Jose will provide you with an excellent culinary experience.

Pan di Bacco

First of all, the décor on woods and pale sand color is so classy and casually elegant. The bread is house-made and super delicious. They use carefully sourced local ingredients from local farms with an emphasis on organic vegetables and hormone free meats. Nice touches are the rectangular pizzas and their art for Italian baking. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located in Boulevard Marina corner with Lazaro Cardenas, Downtown Cabo.

Sunset Da Mona Lisa

With one of the most spectacular views of all the restaurants in Cabo, right in front of Land’s End, Sunset Da Mona Lisa offers a magical atmosphere and a delightful dining experience. The menu is absolutely stunning and with a wide variety of dishes. You can choose to dive al fresco at the gorgeous terraces or under big palapa surrounded by glass walls to protect you from the prevalent sea breezes or the enclosed air-conditioned salon. Located in the Tourist Corridor, Km 6.5, the entrance is the same than Misiones del Cabo.

Sunset Point

Located above Sunset Da Monalisa, Sunset Point offers a breathtaking view of the arch and the watchman hill. Last time I was there, I had a magical time. The pizzas are great, the cocktails magnificent, and the wine list totally international. The beautiful woman I was with and me we decided to go for the tapas that were totally high cuisine and the martinis absolutely delicious. Then, after the dinner, the place started to get crowded with people and it became a casual-elegant nightclub, with DJ and everything. Is a magnificent place.

Alcaravea

This is a nice intimate, downtown Cabo restaurant, is like a little piece of Italy in the middle of our picturesque coastal town. The Chef Enrique Diaz Gerard is so creative that his menu is filled with Mediterranean accents and ingredients that range from Greek dressings to Black Forest ham. Is a very popular restaurant amongst locals; the pastas are tremendously delicious and the service is very good and attentive. Located in Zaragoza street corner with 16 de septiembre, downtown Cabo San Lucas.

La Deriva

One of the most elegant restaurants in Los Cabos, right next to the beach, the view is so relaxing and creates a magical atmosphere. The Chef, Emanuele Olivero was born in Cuneo, Italy, in the Piamont region, for him, the key to a good meal is the freshness of the ingredients complemented by ancestral techniques which characterize all his dishes. The flavors are out of this world and the presentations of the dishes are like sculptures with vibrant color and textures. Located in the Tourist Corridor, km. 18.5 Cabo Real.
