Hot dorado bite trumps Baja’s chill
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Hot dorado bite trumps Bajas chill – In a year that seemed to be filled with surprises, no one suspected the last surprise of the year would be recordable snow falling in Baja Norte with temperatures in the 30s in Baja Sur.
So now we say goodbye to 2014 and all of its baggage and hello 2015 and whatever it brings, which is already looking different to some.
Mark Rayor, of Jen Wren Sportfishing, noted that on his morning walks on the beach in front of his East Cape Beach house, on the days the stronger than usual north wind backs off, the sardina are thick!
This sounds like a good omen to Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International in La Paz, who when asked what he thought 2015 would bring replied, “We’re hoping for no more El Niño, and the things it brought this past year — unseasonably warm water…lack of bait…lack of fish…rain…hurricanes — we can do without ALL of those!”
So here we go! Shoot your best shot 2015 — normal, abnormal, good or bad. We are looking forward to a year of fun that is chocked full of memories!
