Desperados Tex Mex BBQ Restaurant is located around the corner behind the world famous El Squid Roe nightclub. The 2016 renovation at Desperados included the addition of an upstairs open balcony and indoor air conditioning. Known for its mouth watering delicious BBQ ”fall off the bone” pork ribs, Desperados menu also features sizzling fajitas, chicken tortilla soup, and thick, beefy hamburgers accompanied by thick-cut French fries. The beef Nachos and steak quesadillas are both great during lunch or dinner.

The downtown establishment’s various plasma TV sets makes for a great sports watching afternoon or evening. Their healthy and organic house salad is another fine plate selection as are the carne asada and perfectly cooked fish and shrimp tacos. The melon flavored Green Iguana Margaritas and ice cold, reasonably priced beers, are an outstanding choice of refreshments in the fun, festive atmosphere that includes live music. For dessert, the very delectable and sweet Flan, is the dish of choice as is the highly recommended deep fried ice cream.
