Bisbee’s Tournaments Start with Los Cabos Offshore

This October the 15th, at 7:30 am the president of the municipality of Los Cabos, Óscar Leggs Castro accompanied by the organizer of the Bisbee’s sportfishing tournaments, Clicerio Mercado, Gave the starting shot to the fishing tournament Los Cabos Offshore (LCO)

Despite the estimated participation of 130 ships, 185 ships entered to compete for a prize pool of 1.9 million dollars after two days of fishing. The prize ceremony took place this Sunday 17 at the restaurant María Corona, where the Costa Rican team Pelagic was crowned as the Top Tournament Team winning a prize of 863,480.00 dollars.

These events are Important for Los Cabos since thousands of people travel from all across the world to either participate or be part of the audience, giving a symbolic kickstart to the high season in Los Cabos.

The mayor of Los Cabos spoke of how these events show the confidence of international tourism has in this location, and remarked that this has been earned after years of hard work and strict health measures implemented after the pandemic.
