As of noon on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, our state, Baja California Sur, does not have a single case of Covid-19. There have been two suspicious cases, and 16 cases that tested negative. The government has taken some preventative measures, suspending school classes from March 20 to April 20, 2020, (two weeks longer than the scheduled Easter Holidays) and candling the Annual San Jose Fiestas that would have taken place this week. Other organizations have postponed or canceled there events. Among the, the April 15th Humane Society’s Paws ’n Claws has been postponed with no new date revealed so far. The Annual Todos Santos Beach Fest has been postponed until May 30. Medano Beach is still full of spring breakers and the hotel association has reported and unusual number of cancellations for the near future, but so far nothing to worry about. Last by not least, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
