Museum Cabo San LucasThe museum has been remodeled, renovated and equipped by the state government of Baja California Sur, the City of Los Cabos (El H. IX Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos), citizens of Los Cabos, Yenekamu, A.C. through a program to support cultural infrastructure in the states, a program of cultural links.

The facilities were originally used to house the first primary school named Articulo 12 Naciones Unidas.

It has scientific collections of palaeontology, geology, paleo-biology and paleoanthropology, with remains of marine mammals, birds and reptiles. In the seven rooms is the study of history, in which instruments can observe sailors and history of Cabo San Lucas. The living area where archaeological remains of the skeleton of Pericú woman Edue or Cora, an ethnic group that inhabited the southern part of the Baja California peninsula are exposed. The part of the biodiversity shows a complete representation of the seabed, about the migration of dolphins and whales as well as the preservation of sea turtles. Another room that comprise this museum are those of astronomy, geology, paleontology and a room for temporary exhibitions.

The Museum sustained some damage during Hurricane Odile in 2014, but was open for visitors while repairs were being completed.
Open: Tuesday to Friday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The entry free is 15 pesos or about one USD
