On weekend evenings, El Rey de Jalisco - a 9-piece mariachi band resplendent in traditional attire, serenades diners playing ballads on-the-house – eliminating that uncomfortable moment that occurs when not knowing the appropriate fare for playing a song. 

Chef Armando Castillo trained in the Japanese Suntory Restaurants for 10 years before bringing his expertise to Cabo.  He uses only the freshest seafood, Certified Angus Beef and locally grown organic produce and can blend Mexican and Asian culinary styles like magic. 

His homemade Tequila Soup and Oaxacan mole sauces are legendary, while the battered Coco Loco shrimp with Chipotle & Tequila sauce are not-to-be-missed.  Baja like Italy is surrounded by the sea – and here you’ll find great seafood spaghetti and fettuccini dishes loaded with shrimp, scallops, and octopus. 

Many come to the marina just for the seafood platter for two that includes 2 grilled lobsters, giant gulf prawns, sea bass filets, crab, baked potatoes, and morel for only $58US. The wine bar features good selections from Mexico, the USA, and Europe.  When in doubt – go for the Mexican Madero label.  The oldest winery in the Americas at nearly 500 years, Madero has produced award winning wines for centuries.  And like everything else at Margaritavilla – it’s a great value.
