The cleanup process continues and is proceeding rapidly. As these photos show, the weather here in Cabo is beautiful. Most businesses are now open and working normally considering some water shortages. Some of these pictures show a lot a damage but it is difficult for pictures to show how hard the town and everyone is working to undo the damage of Juliette.

10 October 2001 - This is the view from the eastern side of Club Cascadas de Baja looking toward the harbor. The beach is slowly returning as tidal action move the sand around. 10 October 2001 - Heavy equipment is being used in some places to move sand more quickly than would naturally happen. This is the beach area in front of and to the east of Cascadas.

10 October 2001 - This pictures show the main restauant area of Billygan's in the foreground and tables again on the beach in front of The Office. Billygan's and Mango Deck are working hard to repair the damage ana reopen. The Office and Las Palmas are now open for business while they continue with construction. 10 October 2001 - Pueblo Bonito Blanco has constructed steel steps to allow easeier passage from the pool deck area down to the beach. The beach area in from of these hotels is increasing daily as the sand is gradually returning.

Casa Rafaels Hotel, Cabo Villas and Bahia Condos are in the background. 06 October 2001 - This is the view looking east in front of Playa Grande Resort. The Pacific Beachs are much cleaner than those on the Sea of Cortez side. Heavy equipment is being used to even out the beach where wave action has created steap drop-offs.

06 October 2001 - This view show the beach area in front of Hotel Solmar and Playa Grande Resort. The Pacific Beach are not safe for swimming but perfect for long walks and sunbathing. 06 October 2001 - This shot was taken near Solmar down toward the rack of Land's End. It is very interesting to see rock formations that are normally covered with sand.

05 October 2001 - Workers clean up debris in the arroyo near Club Cascadas de Baja. 05 October 2001 - Workers clean up debris and start to repair the damaged water main going across the arroyo near the traffic light at the entrance to Cabo San Lucas.
05 October 2001 - The bridge at El Tule is open to two-way trafiic. At least one section of the bridge was destroyed and is now filled and packed with earth to allow traffic to cross the arroyo.
