Welcome to Heaven: Nikki Beach to Host Ninth Annual White Party

fseNikki Beach, the hip poolside party purveyor extraordinaire—Los Cabos, Cannes, Marbella, Miami, and St. Tropez headline the luxury brand’s list of chic, coastal locales—will host its ninth annual White Party next week, a signal to the local and visiting smart set that it’s time to kick-off the summer season in high Cabo style.

The Memorial Day weekend bash is always among the area’s most highly anticipated social events, and this year’s extravaganza is no exception, with up to 1,000 guests expected to show up at the Médano Beach ME Cabo Resort for a night of red carpet–style revelry featuring champagne and premium bottle service, high-energy DJs, fireworks, and, of course, a fantasia of white costumes and decorations. The party is scheduled for Friday, May 23, and, as always, will take place from 8 p.m. to (very) “late.”

This year’s theme is “Welcome to Heaven,” and Nikki Beach has spared no expense to bring in an otherworldly array of top-flight entertainment. S3x Panther, the DJ combo best known for its performances at Nikki Beach Las Vegas, will keep the music pumping, and ensure a good-time, party-hearty atmosphere. If the name S3x Panther seems vaguely familiar, it’s because the duo—Aaron Cool and Ryan Fontana—take its stage name from a famed bit of dialogue in the 2004 comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Ron Burgundy: “What cologne you gonna go with? London Gentleman, or wait….no, no, no… hold on…Blackbeard’s Delight.

Brian Fontana: “No, she gets a special cologne… It’s called S3x Panther by Odeon. It’s illegal in nine countries… Yep, it’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good.”

The fun-loving DJs are only part of the entertainment package, however. There will be high-flying ballerinas and trapeze artists—white clad, of course—as well as a light show featuring 3-D projection mapping, a technique that simulates the appearances of buildings and other arresting objects. The midnight fireworks show, another visual show stopper, is still in the mix, and the club’s poolside opium beds will be arranged amidst snow white decorations and used to accommodate the party’s VIP attendees.

VIP beds and bottle service are available at several different levels, with ticket prices ranging from $200 to $7,906. Generally speaking, higher prices translate to more bottle service credits and increased proximity to the beach and stage. Admission to the VIP Evian and Grey Goose lounges are $1,608 and $1,876, respectively, and both tickets include a $1,000 alcohol credit. General admission tickets are $70.
