Because of health reasons the owner must return to the U. S. He built this home so he and his family could enjoy the fishing, sailing, diving, golfing, night life, and weather that only Cabo can offer.
This two-bedroom, two-bath home has a number of amenities you will only find in a home costing 3 times the price.
From its grotto bathroom with a giant clam shell bath and shower, his and hers sinks, a bid’e and a ladies make up vanity. The large master bedroom has a giant clam shell with built in lights that hangs over the bed, double glass sliding doors opens onto the hot tub, a 20,000 gallon water storage tank is built under the master bedroom, over the years, in the summer months, it’s was not uncommon for some areas in Cabo to go weeks without water, because of the giant water reserve this home has always, had a large surplus.
During a major storm it is not uncommon to lose electric service so the home was built with a secure storage area to house a large generator which runs on propane, it was wired to the home so, all you would have to do to maintain full electric service was a press the start button. The generator could run the house and all of the appliances including a 5 ton central air conditioning system, I could go on forever, but I think you have the idea.

The owner just invested $17,000.00 U.S. dollars in a 25 year roof, and new stainless steel appliances. The large kitchen has ample cabinet space and the dining area was recently reupholstered. Just off the kitchen is a large bodega or storage area with an extra refrigerator-freezer, a floor to ceiling wine cooler that hold approximately 30 cases of your favorite wines at just the right temperature, a washer and dryer and plenty of storage for kitchen appliances that are not used on a daily bases, food or what have you. In the living room, there is a hand laid rock fire place, rock grotto display shelves, a water fall, skylights are in every room in the house, large closets, and an office. You enter the property through a locking steel gate.

The patio area presently, has a 5 foot cement wall around the south side of the home and a steel locking gate. Before he purched a 5 million dollar lot on the water he had planned to increase the wall to 8 feet and install a large pool in the existing entertaining area that curtly has, a refrigerator, propane grill, propane stove, charcoal grill, smoker , sink, prep area , a large table that will seat 12 and lighting.
The home also includes steel hurricane shutters that entirely encase the residences in the event of a storm or if you wish to leave it, unattended for an extended period of time.
The caretaker lives next door. He is an excellent handyman he can repair about any-thing, his wife is the housekeeper. Should you be away, he checks the house daily.

On a practical level, the question that is most frequently ask, “is there a high security area where we can lock up our cars, boat, motor cycles, tools, fishing equipment, diving equipment etc.”. The short answer is yes. There is a 4,000 square foot high security storage area with 10 foot reinforced cement walls, a steel roof, 3 - 14 foot tall and 12 feet wide steel doors that can accommodate a large boat, several cars, motor cycles or what have you, plus 4 high security storage rooms with steel locking doors. Believe me, its bugler proof, but it has been committed to an individual who has given the owner a small deposit with the understanding if he cannot come up with the rest of the money within a short period time his deposit will be returned and the stowage area will be put back on the market. In Cabo, Storage areas like this are very difficult, if not impossible to fine. It will be sold within a short period of time.
The home is approximately 1,800 square feet. Because of the owner’s health he must return to the U.S. to treat his cancer. He is only asking $85,000 U.S. dollars. The home is completely furnished and ready to be moved into. If you subtract the cost of the furniture and fixtures which is approximately 15 thousand dollars the home is being offered for less than $25.00 a square foot, you cannot build a dog house for 25.00 dollars per square foot. The home is located on leased land, the rent is $400.00 dollars; a month, this is less than most home owner’s fees.
This covers trash pickup, road maintains, and caring for the common areas. You save approximately $1.200.00 a year, because you pay no property taxes. This reduces the rent to approximately 300.00 a month. In 1982 the rent was $150.00 U.S. dollars a month, the increase over the 30 year period has averaged less than 3.5 % a year, the cost of living during the same period of time averaged over 4.5% per year. Let’s sum it up, you get a great home with all of the amenities, a million dollar location that’s ready to move into for less than $25.00 dollars; a square foot. The money you save stays in your bank account. This property is underpriced and will not be on the market long.
