Holiday Cheers: December Events in Los Cabos
It will be tough for any month to surpass the glitzy highlights of the October and November events calendars, which included many of Los Cabos’ largest and most impressive annual events: The Cabo Comedy Fest, Sammy Hagar‘s Birthday Bash, Bisbee’s Black and Blue Marlin Tournament, and the Baja International Film Festival. However, December seems poised to give it a go.
The holiday season in Los Cabos is always filled with a range of fun-filled and family-oriented festivities, from home and office parties to culinary festivals and dazzling New Year’s Eve bashes at some of the area’s top luxury resorts. But what sets December apart is the large number of celebrations, dinners, diversions, entertainments and sporting competitions whose ultimate purpose is to benefit or assist the less fortunate members of our communities.
Yes, the citizens of Los Cabos certainly know how to throw a party. They also can be counted on to turns out and support their own, and the most memorable of the upcoming month’s events promise to be those that evince the true meaning of Christmas: It is better to give than to receive. With that in mind, here are the top events on tap for the yuletide season.
Cabo’s top culinary extravaganza returns for the 8th consecutive year, with up to 5,000 attendees expected for food, drinks, and dancing at Club Campestre in San Jose del Cabo. The event is organized by CANIRAC Los Cabos, the local restaurant association, and features culinary offerings from the area’s best chefs, as well as wines from Mexico’s premier grape growing regions. Special guests will include two international chefs who have earned coveted Michelin stars, and Las Vegas DJ Roman Rosati.
When: 5 p.m.–11 p.m., December 1
Where: Club Campestre Golf Course, Libramiento al Aeropuerto Km. 119, San Jose del Cabo

The 8th Annual Dressed to the K-9s Gala features a Christmas in Rio theme, and will benefit the Los Cabos Humane Society.

7th Annual Liga MAC Christmas Fiesta
The annual Liga Mac Christmas Fiesta is a great opportunity to hobnob with friends while brightening the holiday season for some of the area’s less fortunate children. For the price of admission – at toy donation for local kids—guests can enjoy glasses of wine, a sidewalk fashion show, music from The Angels (Liga MAC’s ACE student choir), as well as live music from other local performers at Las Tiendas de Palmilla. The annual charity drive, raffle, and get-together is always a good time, and always for a good cause.

Todos Santos 5K Race – Palapa Society Benefit
The Palapa Society of Todos Santos supports many fine causes, and all the proceeds from this year’s 5K run will go to support the Chino Project for local children with major medical needs.
