Fish Report for the Week of the 16th thru the 23 of October, 2014
Finally we started chartering some pangas after Hurricane Odile. Such a strong experience to be in Cabo through the strongest hurricane to ever hit this area. In a devastated town that got back on its feet in under month, unbelievable hard work from everybody to get this place running, truly an amazing experience. Activity picking up slowly, with some tourists starting to enjoy Cabo and Sport fishing with a slow week considering the situation, and with hurricane Odile affecting our sea conditions, fishing was pretty good with lots of Bill Fish and Dorado to go around, species biting are Bonita, Rooster, Needle Fish, Skip Jack and Spanish Mackerel. With very sunny days all week, an average temperature of 82 F, and an average water temperature of 72 F. With 16 fishing trips provided by Sushi Time Sport Fishing, we had a 100% effectiveness catching fish. Our fleet production this week is 26+ bonitas, Rooster, Needle Fish, skip jacks and Spanish Mackerel, 22+ Dorados in the +30 lbs. category, 3 Stripped Marlin. Our fish mostly caught this week on live bait. The highlight of this week was the Dorado caught on most of our boats in the pacific area. The Hot spot for this week was on the Pacific side from Sunset Beach to the Old Lighthouse.
