Fish Report for the Week of May 30th thru June 5th, 2014
Fish Report May 23rd thru June 5th 2014
Once again a weird week of fishing, with the fish biting on and off, some days pangas getting near limits other days getting skunked. With plenty of Bill Fish and Shark in the Mako and Hammer Head species some Dorado, and a few Yellow Fin Tuna, the small game fish slowed down dramatically, species available are Wahoo, Bonita, Rooster, Skip Jack, Jack Carvelle, Amber Jack and Yellow Tail. With cloudy days, an average temperature of 76 F, and an average water temperature of 73.5 F. An average week with 32 fishing trips provided by Sushi Time Sport Fishing, we had a 78.12% effectiveness catching fish. Our fleet production this week is 51+ bonitas, and skip jacks, 3 Yellow Tails, 1 huge Amber Jack and 1 big Jack Carvelle, 34+ Dorados in the +20 lbs category, 3 Small Yellow Fin Tuna, 7 Mako Shark, 4 Hammer Heads, 12 Stripped Marlin in the +145 lbs and a and three 140+ Sail Fish. Our fish mostly caught this week on live caballito bait. The highlight of this week was definitely the billfish. The Hot spot for this week was the Pacific side three miles from to the old Light House. The forecast advises temperature rising so this is a sign of better fishing.
