Fish Report for the Week of May 23rd thru May 29th 2014

Fish Report May 23rd thru May 29th 2014

stWe certainly were lucky this week, Hurricane Amanda that formed south of Cabo San Lucas has been for sure the strongest recorded hurricane this early in the year.  The Category 4 registered winds of up to 170 miles per hour. Luckily, Amanda turned west into the Pacific Ocean leaving only cloudy skies and flat calm seas in Cabo San Lucas as warm days and warm water.  A slow week, with Bill fish, Dorado, Yellow Fin Tuna and small game fish available.  Species biting are Wahoo, Bonita, Rooster, Skip Jack and Needle Fish.  With cloudy days, an average temperature of 98 F, and an average water temperature of 77 F.   A slow week with 28 fishing trips provided by Sushi Time Sport Fishing, we had a 92.85% effectiveness catching fish. Our fleet production this week is 54+ bonitas, needle fish and skip jacks, 6 medium size rooster fish, 40+ Dorados in the +20 lbs category, 3 Wahoo, 4 Small Yellow Fin Tuna, 9 Stripped Marlin in the +145 lbs and a couple of 140+ Sail Fish. Our fish mostly caught this week on live bait. The highlight of this week definitely the Wahoo. The Hot spot for this week was again the Pacific side from Solmar to the old Light House. The forecast advises temperature rising so this is a sign of better fishing.  Visit our Facebook Page to see our Daily catches Http://goo.gl/WTUuu
