Sushi Time Fish Report to February 21

Sushi Time Fish Report for the Week of February 14th thru the 21st, 2014

fgjkAnother slow week that was saved by a sudden chew that turned up some nice dorados.  We had early in the week the usual winter winds and a very bright full moon, this never helps with the fishing or with our ability to get live bait, diminishing even more our chances to catch good quality fish this week. Windy conditions for most of the week, that slowed down towards the end. Average temperature of 85º F, with cloudy skies and an average water  temperature of 72º F, cool water temperatures over the last 3 weeks has definitely keeps slow the fishing,  A slow week with 32 fishing trips provided by Sushi Time Sport Fishing, we had a 57.14% effectiveness catching fish, with just 6 Striped Marlin caught, this week and only 22+ dorado on slow trolled baits as well as lures. In addition to the dorado, a few more of the yellowtail, bonitos and skip jacks also bent our rods. Our best fishing spot for this week was three miles from Chileno where we found our strippers.

With the absence of the moon this week, hopefully weather conditions keep improving so we can have better fishing.
