Sushi Time Fish Report to 16 January

Sushi Time Fish Report for the Week of January 9th, to January 16th 2014

sush TCold weather remains for the beginning of 2014  with an average temperature of 79º F, with partly cloudy skies and an average water  temperature of 76º F, slow week with 29 fishing trips provided by Sushi Time Sport Fishing, we had an 89.65% effectiveness catching fish, action remains slow with very few bill fish and average of two Mahi Mahi per boat, with 65+ dorados caught, ranging from 10 lbs to 20 lbs nothing to big but still good fighting power.  Typical for winter fishing, schools of Spanish Mackerel starting to arrive, we found a good number of hits in the shallow waters by the Sunset Beach, the sierra are great for light tackle fun and probably the best meat for Ceviche Mazatlan Style.  All action encountered this week took place on the pacific side from Sunset Beach to the Old light house and beyond., most fish still biting on live bait and our always popular  and favorite pink hoochie.
Lots ofhumpback whales showing their tails and a few Orca whales jumping in the area.  Visit our Facebook page to see pictures and a video.
Hopefully next week the temperatures pick up, and the fishing conditions improve!

Anglers of the week, Mariel and Tim with five Dorado caught with Armando at Sushi Time I.
If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime!!!
