This year the Tour has 38 artists, plus there are over 10 new studios never open in previous years.  A sampling of new studios includes Elro Marshall who makes hand tooled silver jewelry using semi-precious stones placed in traditional settings.   Elizabeth Chavez Rivera is displaying paintings that are her exciting colorful interpretations of life in Mexico.  Guillermo Bejarno’s work includes paintings and murals, and has been recently honored by the Smithsonian Museum to have a piece in their new show, “Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art”.

The Todos Santos art colony thrives in our small village because of its charming historic and cultural atmosphere, its pure light, and the beauty of a tropical setting bounded by the ocean and the surrounding desert.  The Tour is an opportunity to view a wide spectrum of how artists interpret living here, and melds their experiences into their unique artistic creations.

Visiting their studios is a fascinating way to see how artists carve out places to work, from a garage or a palm covered palapa in their yard, to a formal traditional studio space, all serve to enable the process of making art.  An added bonus is the Tour includes exploring the many hidden residential areas of Todos Santos.

Proceeds from the Tour are administered through the Palapa Society, A.C., a non-profit charity, and help children in Todos Santos with art education by providing art supplies and training.
