BG Fit Studio
Developed after years of working with the Doctor in Medicine and Education Andy Pruitt Sports Medicine Center of Boulder and only available in your local store Specialized BG FIT (for its acronym in English, Technology Integration Body Geometry adjustment) is comprehensive adjustment philosophy created to help cyclists to go faster, farther and with greater comfort, while reducing the risk of injury.
BG Fit Process
1. Pre-Interview Fit: Each adjustment either for a novice or an experienced rider, begins with a brief interview between a trained technician and rider, which addresses the injury history, needs and goals of the rider .
2. Flexibility Exam: This assessment allows for a detailed overview of the flexibility and other physical attributes of the individual, including an analysis of foot structure, knee position, curvature of the spine, shoulder extension, the hip flexion and extension of the legs, among others.
3. Vista Side: The evaluation is done from the side view of the rider, while the goal is to get a neutral position of the rider, that is powerful and comfortable through adjustments to be made at the height of the seat, the height of handlebars, the feed length and the position of the pedals.
4. View Front: The front view analysis to optimize the alignment of the hip, knee and foot for better application performance and balanced power. Includes analyzing the location of the foot pedal and the perpendicularity on the seat.
5. Follow Up: After about a week, the technician called the rider to verify the effectiveness of the adjustments and to answer any questions or queries that the cyclist may have.
