Los Cabos, Mexico (November 2nd, 2012) – Don Sanchez Restaurant in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico will be hosting a Grand Re-Opening event on November 7th, at 7PM. The completely remodeled and refurbished building and restaurant has been a four-month, astonishing endeavor consisting of over $600,000 dollars in expenditures. The ribbon cutting ceremony will happen promptly at 7PM with live music, nearly 100 boxes of wine samples and food being distributed for participating guests. The event is open to the public. During the week of November 5th, people such as Vince Ferragamo, former NFL quarterback for the Rams and owner of the Ferragamo signature wine from Guadalupe Valley, the Secretary of Tourism for the state of BCS, the Mexican Board of Tourism based in Los Angeles and locally, influential local business owners and prominent press will be visiting the restaurant or attending the Grand Re-Opening Event as a buzz has been circulating for some time now about the new restaurant concept.
“With the remodeled Don Sanchez Restaurant, I really wanted to explore further two of my own passions which are fine fresh food and of course wine.” says Tadd Chapman, Owner of Don Sanchez & the Tadd Chapman Restaurant Group. He continues, “The new concept is really how I like to dine; a nice bottle of wine, great food, superior service, soft music in the background and a great venue which collectively provides a dining experience.”
Owner Tadd Chapman announced that this new restaurant concept is truly a “Contempary Baja Fusion” with local ingredients, food and a majority of the wines being produced locally in the Baja Peninsula. Additionally, the goal is to hi-lite the increasingly growing San Jose del Cabo tourism market by producing an attractive fine wine and dining experience in the town. All of the construction materials were also produced locally in Los Cabos or in the region including hand-made and painted artisan dining tables, which are sure to be an attraction, all by themselves.
As of October 26th, 2012, Don Sanchez Restaurant now offers an uncompromising and passionate devotion to the quality of their new, 300+label wine program. The restaurant features the breadth of top, select wines from around the world, outstanding depth in mature vintages, excellent harmony with the menu and superior organization, presentation and wine service. Upon entering the glowing entrance of the restaurant, a Sommelier greets patrons with a superb wine list. The Sommelier assists diners with their wine selections, which can compliment their menu choices.

Don Sanchez occupies one of San Jose del Cabo’s oldest buildings called, “Edificio Eclipse”. Restored in 2006 and completely remodeled in the summer of 2012, “Edificio Eclipse” is one of the town’s best examples of Mexican colonial Architecture. Beautiful Cantera Stone trimmed wooden doors lead you thru a 300-plus bottle wine cellar into Hacienda-style courtyard surrounded by date palms, colorful bugambilia, tamarind and mango trees. The restaurant venue allows for an intimate dining experience for couples, VIPs, families or small groups up to private “buy-outs” for larger groups, incentive programs, and weddings with seating up to 350 people.
