Capella Pedregal is committed to preserving Los Cabos' natural resources; chief amongst which is marine life, including the area billfish. Capella Pedregal's founders, the Diaz Rivera family, recognize the important role the species has served in Cabo's boom and are committed to its preservation and sustainability through its support of the WCBRT. Cabo was first known as a billfish destination for the who's who of Hollywood. Captained private yachts, followed by private planes carrying Hollywood's elite, would arrive in Cabo where their passengers would enjoy the laidback attitude and phenomenal fishing. Frequented primarily by anglers in earlier years, Cabo is now known as a sophisticated world class resort destination famous for its golf, dinning and shopping.
The Diaz Rivera family arrived in Cabo in 1974, and its most recent creation, Capella Pedregal, will open in 2008. Upon its Spring 2008 opening, Capella Pedregal will consist of 31 fractional Capella Residences, ranging from 3,500 to 4,500-square feet, and 20 full-ownership Capella Casonas ranging from 5,000 to 7,000-square feet and an exclusive 66-room resort managed by the top-tier Capella Hotels and Resorts brand.
