El Faro Viejo celebrates 110 years since first use.
This past May 5th, 2015 was the 110th anniversary of the first use of the Cabo San Lucas Lighthouse at Cabo Falso. Yenekamu A. C. invited children from the local schools, so the kids could see (some for the first time) this historic monument that belongs to them and sing the Mexican national anthem. A few days ago a group of guys came into the office after their days’ fishing aboard Pisces 60 ft. Hatteras Shambala they were excited and sunburnt and eager to get some Pisces shirts. We asked the group what they had caught and were stunned when 33 year old Brian Lindsey, a physician from Indianola, Mississippi , said that he had landed a 102 lb. dorado. We thought, well he’s probably a first timer and confused, he probably got a marlin. So we asked what color his fish was to which he replied “yellow”, intrigued, we asked to see pictures....

The Natural History Museum of Cabo San Lucas is located in Plaza Amelia Wilkes Cesena, two blocks from Lazaro Cardenas across the street from the Saint Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church (Iglesia San Lucas Evangelista). The Natural History Museum sustained some damage during Hurricane Odile in 2014, but is open for visitors. The sign over the entrance and other repairs still need to be completed.
