Celebrating Mother’s Day in Los Cabos

My mother would be the first to tell you that Mother’s Day is a holiday that should be observed all year round. I don’t know whether that will ever happen—officially or otherwise. But if you’re celebrating in Mexico this year, you can mark the occasion at least twice. In Mexico—and in many other Latin American nations—Mother’s Day is celebrated every May 10. The holiday doesn’t float to a Sunday the way it does in the United States. That means many Los Cabos restaurants and other businesses are offering May 10 specials. You can follow up with a day at the beach or other fun way to salute Mom on Sunday.

This full-service restaurant and beach club on Cabo San Lucas’s Medano Beach may have a wet-and-wild reputation, but its menu deserves praise all its own.
