New Tourism Projects Announced for Baja California Sur

The national tourism business council, or Consejo Nacional Empresarial Turístico, has announced plans to add 176 new tourism projects across the country, including in Baja California Sur. The effort will span 17 states, with a total of 27 destinations that are both in cities and on the beach.

Pablo Azcarraga, chairman of CNET, expects the projects will result directly in 28,000 jobs and indirectly in 78,000 jobs in states like Baja California Sur.

The projects will involve airports, parks, restaurants, golf courses, marinas, and more. As for hotels, CNET expects there will be 33,107 new rooms constructed.
