For folks who want fresh seafood (especially lobster), and steak without paying for pomp and frill, try one of these fun places. The seafood is fresh, the Angus New York steaks some of the best around, and the cooks know their stuff. My lobster was succulent and generous in size, my steak cooked and seasoned just as I wanted. An order of chips and guacamole came with both mild (Gringo-style) chunky salsa and a spicy red salsa. The house margarita is potent so cuidado Gringo (take it easy).
For a lot of visitors, Mexico is the land of bargain priced beer, tequila and lobster. No one will be disappointed here. One can still get a fat lobster tail here for ten bucks. That’s cheaper than I could catch one for. Tequila, beer, beans and rice are just several pesos more. A classic chicken fajitas dish with bell pepper and onion was tender, tantalizing and only eight bucks.
Jose Cuervo shots are seven pesos and happy hour with 2X1 domestic drinks runs from 10a.m 6 p.m. You can’t go wrong there. Enjoy a self-indulgent Cabo dining experience herebuckets of clams, lobster, scallops, ribs, chicken, steak, lobster tacos, Mexican combos and more. Steamed, stir-fried or grilled to perfection. At the Sleepless Lobster, a pool table lurks in a side room and its rumored that karaoke has been known to occur here.
The house dessert is classic Flan. This delight arrives decorated with whipped cream and a cherry on top. A note on the menu reminds you to “Ask your waiter about dessert as they won’t tell you….”
