The exhibition kitchen is situated behind glass panels allowing guests to sneak a peek at what’s cooking.
Order an individual first course like the mussels simmered in sake, lemongrass, and sun-dried tomatoes, or a first-course tasting that would include a market salad of greens, cherry tomatoes, and miso with ginger vinaigrette dressing, crispy golden calamari and plantains, and sashimi of citrus salmon and tuna with cucumber and avocado ($23 U.S.).
Main courses start at $21 U.S. and include freshly caught tuna with Asian flavors, garlic shrimp accompanied with pasta, panko shrimp with ginger, chateaubriand with Brie gratin ($40 U.S. for two), or other seafood such as grilled sea bass with lemongrass and fresh cilantro or lobster with Asian herbs.
Grill items include Angus beef, salmon, and organic chicken. Seafood paella is the specialty on Monday nights.
The fitting accompaniment to great food is great music: Guitarist and tenor Hector Gomez sings in four languages by la fogata (the bonfire), a romantic spot to sip cocktails or savor a dessert. Reservations suggested. |
