We're not certain if that's because outrageous people go there...or if they get that way after entering. One thing's for sure, the Squid is not for the meek or modest. The place to people watch, pick a spot against the wall...or try an aisle if you want to experience a tropical body sandwich, complete with a spray tank of tequila in your face...and take it all in. |

Tucked away on the northeast side of Plaza Las Glorias, behind the Seafood Mama'a tower, Sancho Panza is waiting for you to slip up to the bar. Monica and Ron Cleist have created an atmosphere sophistication with homage to Miro. With over a hundred and fifty wines in stock, Sancho Panza bills themselves as a wine bar cafe and is the only place in town to sample a fine selection of California and Mexican wines by the glass. Perfect for couples, sevice is attentive and Monica's New World selection of tapas has something for every palate. Open 11 to 11 and closed Sundays, soft jazz and forgiving lighting make it very easy to relax, especially with someone special by your side. |

Latitude 22+ Roadhouse in Cabo San Lucas is definitely a bar... but it's also a tasty dinner house, so if it's a bar you want... go later. It's also the home of the best fish stories. It's not the tequila that has you thinking you're seeing things, it's the Blues Brothers; two half-ton Marlin hanging above the crowd. |

Close by, on Boulevard Marina across from Pizza Hut, is the legendary Giggling Marlin. One of the first bars in Cabo San Lucas catering to tourists, it's a devilish mix of dirty dancing style floor shows and very potent margaritas. The show starts around 9 p.m. It's a must-see for first-time Cabo party-goers. Women are forewarned: not only will they have you doing the Lambada...they'll put it on video. The Giggling Marlin is even more famous for their fish scale, where unsuspecting guests are strung upside down and photographed...solo or in pairs. Tasty Mexican food is available in abundance, and service is reasonably good, considering the crowds. |

The Nowhere Bar Before (or after) you dine at Plaza Bonita’s marina side “restaurant row,” stop in and check out what’s happening at the Nowhere Bar. Well known as one of Cabo’s top local bars, the daily 5 to 9 p.m. happy hour packs ‘em in, and the action goes late, late, until 3 a.m. Tuesday is Ladies Night, with free national drinks and beer from 8 to 10 p.m. Plus there’s sushi on the premises, in case you decide to stay put for the night.
