Jazamango Restaurant Celebrates First Anniversary

Todos Santos, La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Enjoying the fabulous weather of the Magical Town (Pueblo Mágico) Todos Santos, this Sunday, February 25, 2018, the famous Jazamango Restaurant celebrated its first anniversary, adding to the list of  great restaurants. We were in the company of hundreds of people who gathered in the Las Huertas district, a place with a natural beauty that is impressive where everyone felt very welcome and relaxed. The food was made with feeling, and a delicious taste and style and included pork tacos, paella, grilled oysters, rabbit tacos, “tlayudas de tuetano”, lamb tacos, stone baked pizzas, and hot dogs prepared with a very special touch that all the guests murmured were delicious, since they had a flavor very different from the traditional ones. The food was acquired using the theme of what is called “kermes”. Prices were reasonable and coupons were purchased that represented the desired monetary amount.

During the celebration it was possible to observe a number of Chef’s from various local restaurants, who wandered along with their families throughout the event. There were entrepreneurs from the local area and surrounding region, including Jacobo Turquie, president of Sabor a Cabo, Joseph Tyson and his honorable wife, Mrs. Perla Palomino, owners of Los Cabos Magazine, among others.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, with a rock band that played live all afternoon. The DJs also put their “two cents” and entertained at this anniversary by letting everyone present to sing and move the body to the rhythm of the music. The event began at 2:00 p.m. and ended after 10:00 p.m. Glasses of wine were seen at all the tables, as well as the featured drinks of Jazamango that so many fan and regulars enjoy at this great restaurant.

The restaurant overlooks its 7,000 square foot garden, from which 70% of its organic fruits and vegetables featured on the menu and drink list are grown and harvested. In addition to it’s own fruits and vegetables grown onsite, Jazamango features a menu imagined and creatively executed by Chef Plascencia using mostly local products from Baja California Sur. Only a select few spices and grains are brought in from outside the southern state.
