The primary focus of Gordo Banks Pangas Sportfishing is on the Gordo Banks (locally referred to as the Wahoo Banks) and other fishing grounds towards the north, such as Cardon, La Fortuna, Iman, San Luis and Vinorama. Ideally situated at the gateway of the Sea of Cortez, where unique marine habitat creates the richest fishing grounds off of the Los Cabos region. Dependent on gamefish migrations, bait supply, currents and wind conditions, charters have the range to cover the areas from Cabo San Lucas to Vinorama.

Species such as black, blue and striped marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo, roosterfish, sierra, pargo, grouper, yellowtail, amberjack, pompano, along with many others can be found throughout the year. Seasons vary, depending on gamefish migrations, bait supply, water temperature and ocean currents. Charters cover the grounds from off of Cabo San Lucas, north to the Gordo Banks and Vinorama.

General Information: Gordo Banks Pangas is a family operated business, owned by Eric Brictson. Eric has 25 years of experience in Southern Baja, prior to moving to Baja California, he spent over 25 years fishing off of the coastal waters of California and Oregon. Sportfishing Charter services specialize in six hour trips on 23 ft. and 26 ft. Super Pangas that are set up for serious fishing on the local fishing grounds. Cabin Cruiser Charters of 28 ft., 30 ft. & 32 ft. are also offered.

Local Sportfishing fleets are fortunate to launch from the closest marina facility within range of the world famous Gordo Banks. Ideal location, within easy range of other productive areas such as San Luis, Iman Banks, Vinorama, Desteladera, El Cardon, La Fortuna, 1150, 95 and Red Hill.

These areas have a reputation for producing year round action for gamefish species which have made these waters famous, including striped, blue and black marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, roosterfish and wahoo. A greater variety of fish are encountered in local waters than perhaps any other location in Baja.
