The security personnel took control of the situation and delimited the area, reducing the lighting so that the turtle was not disturbed and could nest successfully, explained the technical manager for the Protection of the species in the area, Miguel Ángel Cruz Ramos. “We were expecting the nesting of this turtle again, so that two days before the patrols from El Tule to Palmilla intensified, in which they participated: Del Mar Los Cabos, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, Las Ventanas al Paraíso” declared Graciela Tiburcio. These actions were joined by Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa, Organization for the Sustainability and Conservation of the Environment and Tortuga Bay, said the specialist in the matter.

It should be remembered that, at the end of 2020, the arrival of a Leatherback sea turtle was also registered on the coast of Cabo San Lucas, which deposited around 110 eggs, which were kept for their future release.
